I’m Mara — wife, mom of three, and the founder of Olive & Oak. What started as baking sourdough so my family could enjoy gut-friendly bread quickly became something more. I fell in love with the process — the patience, the simplicity, and the joy of creating something wholesome with my hands.

When friends and family began asking to place orders, I prayed and asked the Lord that if this was His plan, He would bless my business, my time, my hands, and the families I bake for. He has done just that.

As I searched for a name, I was drawn to the significance of olives in Scripture — symbols of peace, promise, and new beginnings. Olive & Oak represents exactly what this journey has been for me. It is a blessing to bake for my family, and an even greater blessing to share that love with yours.
